Coming back to school with a cold brain is not a good idea! Time to start it up and find a few gears before September – just over 2 weeks to go.
New Years 8and 9 – see if you can list 30 prime numbers in 2 minutes (practise till you can!!) at http://www.sporcle.com/games/primenumbers.php
New Year 10 – look at the link called fun mathematics and practise your fraction, decimal, percentage conversions.
New Year 11 – some of you have past papers to complete; don’t leave them till the last minute – they are due in on the first day back!! If you weren’t set anything specific, practise everything quadratic and make sure your algebra is in good form
New Year 12 – your workbook needs to be completed by the start of term. Post on the blog if you need help.
New Year 13 – you now have your results so you need to decide if you are happy or want to do resits. If you want to do resits, then get out those past papers and start working through them now. There will be revision sessions for you but there’s not a lot of time with your A2 work as well – and it can’t all be done at Christmas!! C3 has a tremendous amount of trig in it, so you may need to revise your trig in preparation: definitions of sin, cos, tan and their graphs, transformations of trig graphs will be needed.
Have fun!! First day back there are maths lessons for Year 13, Year 11 and Year 9 so BRING YOUR CALCULATORS!! Year 13, you’ll need an A4 file for D1 as it can’t easily be done in an exercise book.
See you soon
